Mike Drews attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA in 1996 followed by Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI.
In 2004, he entered the mortgage industry as a loan officer at a local mortgage company in Elm Grove. After achieving early success, he was recruited to help with the opening of another mortgage company in Wauwatosa where he trained and managed a team of loan officers. It was here that he focused his energy on building relationships with realtors, area banks, and family law attorneys, in which he grew his business. He was then promoted to Sales and Marketing Director where he developed and taught a series of advanced loan officer classes. Soon after, he was recruited by First Franklin, the wholesale subprime subsidiary of Merrill Lynch, where he took a position as an account executive to serve a large number of Milwaukee area mortgage companies.
Mike joined Home Loan Express in 2007. His experience as an account executive for a wholesale subprime lender as well as a loan officer that focused on first time buyers and those with not so perfect credit, has given Mike the ability to help all types of homebuyers. His creativity, unique knowledge of the mortgage industry, and a never give up attitude, make Mike a valuable member of HLX and William Ryan Homes.

When he's not at work, Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and son. They enjoy sports, swimming, and taking family vacations.
